Response to COVID-19
Beginning Monday, December 14 we will only offer outdoor dining and delivery/takeout. No indoor dining is allowed. We kindly ask that you limit your visit to 90 minutes. Our winter seating area has only five tables and if we're going to make this work we will need to make good use of them in the coming months.
We are taking reservations by phone only. Call from 12pm - 9pm if you would like to reserve a table, 212-877-2267. We are not offering online reservations at this time.
We want to assure you during these trying times that we’re taking extra precautions, as guided by the CDC, NYC Department of Health, and New York State Governor’s Office to ensure your well-being. We are monitoring updates closely and will keep you updated as our situation changes.
You can always order delivery on Seamless, Grubhub, here on our website (where you’ll receive a 10% discount), or by calling in.
The health and safety of our community is our greatest concern. Bella Luna has been an Upper West Side staple for over 30 years and we will continue serving you through anything and everything that’s put in our path.

FAQ about dining out during COVID:
Do I need to make a reservation?
No, we are accepting walk-ins and reservations. We strongly encourage reservations, especially on Friday and Saturday. Indoor dining is not permitted.
Do you have a party maximum?
We can seat 6-8 people on a case by case basis. Call ahead if you have a larger group, 212-877-2267
Can I request a specific table?
We always do our best to get you the table you want however it is becoming increasingly difficult to fulfill requests for specific tables because of our seating limitations. Please note that reservations always get the "preferred" tables over walk-ins.
Do you have heat lamps outside?
Yes, we do. It's still a good idea to wear extra layers if you plan to dine outdoors. You can also BYOC (bring your own cushion)
What can I expect while dining at Bella Luna in a pandemic?
The state has issued mandatory guidelines for restaurants during this time. We are doing everything we can to follow the guidance and continue to serve the community for years to come. Here's what you need to know:
You must wear a mask at all times when not seated (e.g. walking to/from the table, walking to/from the restroom).
We have a 90 minute table limit which allows us to commodate as many guests as possible.
In October 2020 the city passed a bill that allows local restaurants to add a surcharge to dine-in checks. You'll see a "C19 Recovery" charge on your bill when dining in. It's a 10% surcharge to help restaurants survive under limited capacity mandates. It should not be mistaken for a tip for your server, this surcharge goes directly to the restaurant. Please tip your server as you normally would!
We offer hand sanitizer throughout the restaurant should you need it.
We have updated our air filtration system with UV light and MERV-13 filters. These two filters used in conjunction eliminate air pollutants, bacteria, mold, and viruses (including COVID-19)
