We want to assure you that we’re taking extra precautions during this time as guided by the CDC, NYC Department of Health, and New York State Governor’s Office to ensure your well-being. We are monitoring updates closely and will keep you updated as our situation changes.

The health and safety of our community is our greatest concern. Bella Luna has been an Upper West Side staple for over 30 years and we will continue serving you through anything and everything that’s put in our path.

FAQ about dining out during COVID:
What can I expect while dining at Bella Luna in the pandemic?
Here are the precautions we have taken:

We perform daily temperature checks and health screenings for all staff.

Staff is required to wear masks at all times and to wash hands frequently.

Guests are encouraged to wear a mask when not seated (e.g. walking to/from the table, walking to/from the restroom)

We offer hand sanitizer throughout the restaurant should you need it.

We have updated our air filtration system with UV light and MERV-13 filters. These two filters used in conjunction eliminate air pollutants, bacteria, mold, and viruses (including COVID-19)

We have placed plexiglass barriers between tables for added protection.
Do I need to wear a mask?
Yes, we are taking extra precautions to keep our community safe. Please wear a mask until you are seated at your table and wear it anytime you are up from your table.
Do I need to make a reservation?
No, we are accepting walk-ins and reservations. We strongly encourage reservations, especially on Friday and Saturday. Please specify indoor or outdoor dining.
Do you have a party maximum?
We can seat 8-10 people on a case by case basis. The state mandates no more than 10 guests for one party. Call ahead if you have a large group, 212-877-2267
Can I request a specific table?
We always do our best to get you the table you want however it is becoming increasingly difficult to fulfill requests for specific tables because of our seating limitations. Please note that reservations always get the "preferred" tables over walk-ins.
What is the Piazza? What is the Sidewalk Cafe? Are they outdoors?
We have two types of outdoor seating available. Neither is enclosed and we have placed barriers between tables as an extra precaution:
-Sidewalk Cafe- on the sidewalk under our awning
-Piazza- roadway seating in a covered structure
Do you have heat lamps outside?
Yes, we do. But when it's cold outside it's still a good idea to wear extra layers if you plan to dine outdoors.
Do you offer bar seating?
No, our bar is currently unavailable for seating. We plan on reopening seating in the future.
